Pros

Big company, good benefits. Given the opportunity within business units potential for a lot of professional growth.

Cons

It is easy to become a number and the management hierarchy can cause a deficiency in communications and in turn cause people to feel not appreciated and leave.

Pros

Big company with opportunity to move around (difficult to move up the ladder. poor career development). A culturally diverse company to work for in the San Francisco market. In this market lots of work in PM, tech development and support, and all things business/finance related. Good benefits and tuition reimbursement programs. Flexible work hours in most departments.

Cons

Unless you have a college degree, in the San Francisco market it would be difficult to land an entry level job, other than as teller, in cash vault, in central mail distribution. All operations support/processing departments have been (and perhaps) in the processing of moving out of CA (due to high labor & operating costs) Those jobs are going to TX, SD, NC, AZ. Rumored that there are inititives to set-up operations and customer support in India and Philipines. So the above states may one day loose their jobs as well. IMO and others - Difficult to move up the ladder. Poor career development. Talent development is low on mgmt list.
