Pros

Really great benefits, and fairly easy work. Most people you encounter are pretty nice. You get a TON of time off, I started out with like 20 days of PTO! It's really easy to move up in the company if you actually try to hit your numbers each quarter.

Cons

My feet HURT! You have to stand all day because they think it look unprofessional to sit down at all. People yell at you all day like it's your fault they're overdrafted. Working with the general public can be less than fun some days. I've worked at a couple branches and the branch manager usually has no idea what the tellers do or how they do it. They couldn't process a simple deposit if you asked them. All they care about is SALES SALES SALES! You can be the nicest, most loved teller in the whole branch and have the best customer survey scores, and still you'll be hounded relentlessly about SALES!

Pros

Wells has good communication between tellers and upper management. Lots of paid time off.

Cons

Same job over and over again. The only way to move up inthe company is to sell customers solutions they don't need so you can get your sells. My store manager was so dumb she could not even process a simple deposit. All about who you know and not what you know.

Pros

Learn how the banking industry works and get completely free accounts for working for the company [e.g. no need for transfers or monthly fees]

Cons

Note: This list is centralized to the East Los Angeles Branch, your branch experience will vary with this company. - Management can be incompetent. - Management lacks communicative and motivation skills. - Company cares only about the numbers and not the customers. - Many branch game to reach goals and solution numbers [people will find products added to their accounts without their knowledge only to be reported to please the district manager]. - If the numbers are not met, manager will threat and psychologically demotivate employees by berating employee infront of customers, talk to other branch managers over the phone, within earshot of Teller line, and complain about how the employees do not care about their job. - The professionalism of this branches management is horrible and delusional, e.g. the awareness that other branches are gaming but purposefully will tell employees that to do so isn't going to result in sales while being honest and truthful doesn't result in numbers. - Experience and customer service skills are not valued there. Management only caters to those employees that stroke management's sore ego.
