Pros

Great Benefits package Competitive Pay Good Hours (If you work in a traditional branch) Most of the team members are cool Great for Tellers or someone looking for part time work with job security and benefits

Cons

Unrealistic sales goals Micromanagers who breathe down your neck constantly hounding you for sales Too much paperwork and written reporting to management is required Promises are made to you that you will be promoted if you hit certain (unrealistic) sales numbers then when you hit those numbers you are not promoted. They do not take your tenure with the bank or current economic conditions into consideration. If you're not blowing the unrealistic numbers out of the water then you dont get promoted, and constantly get threatened to be demoted or laid off.

Pros

Some excellent and very helpful people work at Wells Fargo at the lower levels. The will go out of their way to help you understand what needs to be done. In fact I got a call from one of them telling me a bit about what had been happening in the background. Told me not to take it too hard as it probably was just some budgetary thing from on high.

Cons

Somewhat squirrelly and arbitrary I was told by a couple of others who were nice enough to talk with me. They tend to treat people as plug in widgets with no concern for employee morale. They tend to hire and fire, especially contractors without thinking about the people. Rarely if ever give a reason for letting someone go. Almost no communication up and down the food chain. You can get moved from one group to another and not know it until later. Team leads are not told much about what the reasons are for the actions of upper management and often are not even told when a team member is being released.
