As a not-for-profit org, there seems to be a lot of focus from upper management on the bottom line. This can translate into lower than market rate pay for clinical staff. As with most health systems, PTO is used for holidays rather than them genuinely being PAID HOLIDAYS. PTO is also used for sick time, although they do offer EIB (if you're out for 3+ days) but the accrual rate is abysmal. I have worked at other practices within Wellstar and had significantly worse experiences and each practice is different. CEO and upper management are paid obscene salaries while the folks who actually make the system work scrape by.

Worst place I have ever worked in my career as a medical assistant (that says a lot) Management is horrible, management will go out to lunch for 2 hours while you're the only MA in clinic drowning, Not to mention they will go drinking together on the weekends and openly talk about it at work all the time. You will be expected to do the job of 5+ people and told to shut up and be happy about it, will lie to you to get you to stay (false promises) favoritism to nurses. I worked for 4 months and put in my two weeks notice, I have never been burnt out and used up at a job so fast in my life. That comes form a CMA with 10+ years experience. DO NOT WORK HERE! TRUST ME PLEASE! Much better places and companies exist!
