Pros

I wore many hats and no day was the same. I was able to develop relationships with clients from around the world, and was trusted to manage projects with little oversight. When I needed resources I always had it. In addition I worked with some great people

Cons

There was always a power play between the different units, this lead to an unnecessary competition between the employees. In addition the large overhead made it hard to win jobs.

Pros

Open book and employee owned company. Bonuses are based on company success, not personal success (could be good and bad). Friendly environment.

Cons

Company is ran by engineers that have been at company for 20+ years. There should be more business minded people in charge. Promotions generally go to people who have no people skills, and very rarely to females. Nepotism is really out of control. Some employees are hired with no experience, which hurts the company. Those who did the hiring face no consequences.

Pros

Exposure to projects with some of the best engineering and construction firms in the country. Management is finally taking proactive steps to eliminate some "dead weight" throughout the company.

Cons

Pay and benefits are lagging behind the market, and as a result the talented and ambitious employees are likely to leave. Flat company structure leaves little room for advancement within one's current group, usually requiring a move to a new product line/group for promotion.
