Pros

You will never get fired for being lazy, racist, sexist or incompetent. You don’t have understand business to be an executive.

Cons

Extremely incompetent executives. Engineers are number crunchers, not business decision makers. Company margins suck... not sure how they at will in business... won’t last much longer with the type of strategy they have.

Pros

Relaxed company with little restrictions on schedule and good atmosphere between employees. Here you can just come to work, get a paycheck and go home. It is easy to coast. No real reprimand if you make a mistake thus making job security very good. Good opportunities to travel.

Cons

If you want a real paying job, this is not the place. Very slow moving. Upper management positions are awarded by time with company, not experience, education, of ability to perform. WesTech has difficulty keeping young talent, so all that is left if mediocre employees, and mediocrity if allowed or encouraged.

Pros

Stability, close to skiing. On site clinic.

Cons

Biggest Con: Salaried employees have to spend loads of time traveling (including weekends) and working on sites with tons of overtime for absolutely zero compensation while working side-by-side with hourly field service guys who are making a killing on OT. I once figured out what I make per hour and almost cried. I have a degree in chemical engineering and might do better per hour as a waiter. I'm looking for a job. Also, there's very limited room to move up. I have the same job they hired me for as a college grad some 13 years ago. I'm bored with it.
