Pros

WesleyLife is a terrific organization dedicated to a spirit of service to seniors and the community as a whole. Executive Leaders allow a ton of freedom to lead communities with an entrepreneurial spirit and offers amazing support to the Executive Directors. I feel incredibly grateful to be a part of an organization who is so dedicated to transforming the aging experience in older adults. We are allowed to be creative and encouraged to facilitate ideas at the community level which will keep the organization and its residents progressively moving forward.

Cons

The work is difficult and challenging. The expectations are high and, at times, communication can be challenging around expectations, but these are generally consistent challenges and most organizations of our size and structure. Additionally, we are an organization which is growing and taking on a lot. At times, I feel we are struggling with the people power to handle it all, but we are scaling up and going through a lot of change at this time. I feel we will overcome this hurdle. Finally, I would say that the vision of where we want to go is not always communicated clearly.

Thank you for this thoughtful feedback. 2019 in many ways has been a great year for WesleyLife as well as a challenging one. Growth - while positive - also brings its challenges and we definitely recognize that we must continually keep our feet in both the present and the future for the benefit of the organization. We appreciate the leadership you provide to our organization and your commitment and focus on the mission and vision of WesleyLife. And we wholeheartedly agree that the work experience must be a high priority to achieve the customer experience and the ongoing success of WesleyLife for the long term.
