Pros

Company is very stable and open, benefits are excellent, on site fitness center and cafe is among the best in SE Wisconsin. Great place to work if you are in insurance side, not so much for the IT side.

Cons

PMO was transferred out of IT and that was the best thing that happened for us. IT lost a lot of good people due to a deliberate effort to cut salary and drive experience (i.e. high salaries) out of the company. If you're on the inside, you were safe, but eventually what comes around goes around - the PMO managers who let go of a lot of the old PMs eventually got "forced out" as well. Don't see many "20 year" employees in IT.

Pros

Benefits, nice campus, full cafeteria, trails, hybrid option (depending on the department)

Cons

In 23/24 WB had some major players retire/leave and the company had not recovered. Quality went downhill. New hires training new hires. Managers promoted by who they know and not skills or knowledge. My prior manager would not check with all affected departments when making the multitude of changes and it was always disastrous. The department and manager you are assigned make a HUGE difference.

Pros

Kevin Steiner (President) is a great leader. Benefits are above average and pay is fair. Facilities are also very nice and secure.

Cons

The CL Underwriting department has changed dramatically. Turnover is very high due to employees being overworked and under appreciated. The company is expanding way to fast and cannot staff the department properly to keep up with the growth. Also, opportunities for advancement are unfair due to extreme favoritism and politics. Lastly, management lacks empathy.
