Unstable and volatile

Pros

Pay is competitive and salaries generally trend toward the median range of the bell curve for a position range. Benefits are competitive as well. Co-workers are well-rounded, educated and great to work with.

Cons

Performance review process is not well administered by management. Management does not understand what motivates employees. Travel expectations can be exhausting, and the travel&expense policy and its supporting team are not very sensitive to those who travel often.

Nice company, hard to become a permanent employee

Pros

Great work environment at every office, very flexible, employees are pretty nice. Great benefits for people that are actually "EMPLOYED", cool employee perks like discounts at certain stores and restaurants and entertainment. Many employee socials sponsored by different companies throughout the year.

Cons

WestRock has almost the same amount of contractors as they do employees. To actually become a permanent employee from a contract position is nearly impossible now, it's ridiculous and crazy because it actually cost less to employ people permanently than it does to hire contractors. Salary does start of low but as you do great work your pay will usually increase. It's also very hard for minorities to move up. There is a handful of minorities holding management positions. We just got our first African American woman vice president. I guess they took notice of some complaints. Let's see if we get anymore diversity among the hire-ups.

Weekends are scarce.

Pros

The pay was good and so were the benefits. Overtime was never hard to find. You also receive eleven paid holidays.

Cons

You always had to wait until Thursday to find out your work schedule. You had to work a really long time on night shifts(10 years) to get and keep a day shift job. Raises were not performance based and bonuses were nonexistent.
