      Very conservative company that is not known for widespread downsizing and typically will only do so as a last resort. Provides a pension (cash balance) plan, 401K match, and matches money put into HSAs.

      Selective development of employees, not all employees get a fair crack at advancement and development oportunities.

      Wide range of opportunities, and lots of flexibility on career path. Forward thinking in terms of marketing for a B2B firm.

      Very conservative company. Highly matrixed environment can make it difficult to push things forward quickly.

      Pros

      MWV has high ethical standards. In general, leadership is willing to listen to new ideas in most departments. There are some very successful businesses within the company.

      Cons

      Corporate headquarters is a 'meeting-driven' culture. There are many professional 'meeting attenders' in Richmond. Information often seems to be over-filtered or over-messaged on its way to the top of the organization.
