      Pros

      Good pay, insurance and 401k benefits. Educational opportunities are available if you are motivated to take them up on it.

      Cons

      Old plant and equipment. Dangerous working conditions. Production is number 1 over safety no matter what anyone else says and everyone knows it.

      Pros

      MeadWestvaco is a very innovative company - they have great R&D and make great products - designers are very good as well. They have a solid high profile customer base. They offer competitive benefits and the salary was fair.

      Cons

      Management has changed considerably over the last 7+ years - not as focused on the people as they are their shareholders. It's all about the bottom line. Sometimes you need to make a decision based on solid business and not just the margins - how the business affects the plants etc.
