Pros

You meet allot of fake lie to your face act like they care and are there to help you people.

Cons

I recently quit Western Express I live in NY and was signed up for a regional dedicated flatbed read the post on craigslist. They promised me a minimum guarantee 900 dollars for 1500 miles and 50 cents per mile additional after 1500 miles. They don't tell you that you must hit 5 loads a week or you only get 36 cents per mile. I hit my quota one time in a month. They hesitate to give you your 5 loads. You will be lucky I mean lucky to get 1000 miles a week so you do the math 36 cents. They give you 12.50 additional for tarping but that's it. My last couple of checks were about 123.00 They would route you close so that you can get your jobs done, but not get any miles and not give you your 5th load. Their turn over rate is astounding. When you go there for orientation you'll see that each class every day but the weekend has 20 students in it. It's not to fill all the new trucks, it's because they promise miles and loads but don't deliver. I have a wife, newborn, house, and cars. I REALLY WISH I DIDN'T PUT MY FAMILY THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!!! I thought it was going to be for the better 900 minimum guarantee 5 loads how hard could it be. Hard if they won't give your your 5th load. If I had a choice I would have stayed at my salary m-f local job. And never went to Western Express. Everyone there acts like they care but they're all fake and it won't get past them if you need help. If you have a complaint about a DM you'll just talk to Driver Support and they sit right behind your DM in the same room and can hear everything you say. Please Please if you think about going with this company you're insane. I'm lucky I at least have savings till I start my new job.

Pros

Lots of freight and miles on flatbed. Real good money. Office personnel nice and helpful. New trucks.

Cons

They are not eager to get you all the home time you may have coming, but it's more money for you anyway.

Pros

Drive and see the country. Sometimes its fun fighting with your DM about why you didnt get paid for certain things

Cons

Low pay low miles = low check. Dont pay you sometimes for tarping, nyc pay, detention pay, lay over pay. I'm new at trick driving, I can't believe how little truck drivers make. I'm averaging 500-600 a week, might as well find any minimum wage job.
