Pros

Pay, work/home balance, telework capabilities, always busy, great benefits and friendly management from the top down.

Cons

The I.T. department is something to be desired. For the amount of talent in that department, the recurring issues shouldn't be happening. The serious workload dis-appropriation is always ignored, and the harder you work, the more work and less praise/respect you get. Certain departments have serious interpersonal problems that cause tension and make even the best employees not want to work, it's a known issue to middle management, but nothing gets addressed. When there is an issue with anything, other co workers, workflow, interpersonal issues or training, there is always a meeting but never anything that comes from them. The option for telework is there, but it's hard to obtain even though it's extremely beneficial for many employees.

Pros

Flexible schedules, good community outreach.

Cons

Extremely poor communication. Just about everything is outdated to include the employees. Retention is a problem in the opposite direction here. There are too many employees that refuse to adopt to new technologies and processes because of being over 60 and set in their ways.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found value in our community outreach—it’s important to us to give back to the communities in which we work and live. On the retention note, we think our people are a big part of what makes Western National a great place to work, and our retention rate reflects that. With that being said, we continually hire new talent to bring fresh ideas to the table. We also appreciate your note about communication. We encourage the continued development of supervisor communication skills (most recently with companywide management training), but we’re always looking to improve. If you have additional feedback, please feel free to contact us at HRmail@wnins.com.
