Grounded, but exciting culture

Pros

The company stays true to their culture, while also focusing on progressing the business forward. They are cognizant of work/life balance and usually do a good job ensuring their employees get to work on projects that are fulfilling to them, but making sure not to over work them.

Cons

Things change a lot. It's a "con" in the sense that it can add stress, but it is also something that should be expected at a company of this stage. If you're someone who can do their job well when given varying circumstances, this "con" won't affect you much. Also, there is a lot of talent at Whatnot which can often cause imposter syndrome to set in or make you feel like you need to prove yourself.

Pros

- Whatnot is an extremely fast growing marketplace company that has the opportunity to make transformational changes in the US retail environment. Working within that every day can be really exciting. - The Whatnot leadership team is intelligent, inspiring, and transparent. They care about employees on the individual level and work to make you feel like you are a part of something bigger than yourself. - Coworkers are extremely collaborative, humble, and fun to work with. Across teams it is clear that there is a specific culture that is being built and adhered to with each hire.

Cons

- Collaboration between teams (product, marketing, GTM, Ops) could be better. As we've grown bigger as quickly as we have, it's been challenging to keep track of everything that is being worked on to make sure it is aligned effectively which is common at startups like this.

Pros

- A lot of autonomy - Teams get to pick how they operate - Everyone is incredibly smart, has no egos, and is very supportive/collaborative. - Incredible benefits

Cons

- The lack of process is catching up to us a bit, but that's also to be expected.
