Needs improvement - Potential to be a great company to work for

Pros

-You will work with many intelligent and hardworking individuals who are passionate about what they do and generally care about each other. -Potential for growth within company. -Fast paced environment and growing company keeps you busy and always working on new projects/towards new goals. -Benefits have improved over the last 2 years.

Cons

-The culture infuses a mindset of 'always having to be on', creating a stressful work environment which causes burn out. Don't plan on taking vacation without your phone or laptop nearby. Before COVID, employees would arrive early and stay late in the office just to be 'seen' by management. Not efficient. It seems like leadership is out of touch with how the majority of employees view the culture. -Terrible communication across departments, creating mass confusion when new projects are completed and launched. -Unrealistic timelines/expectations set by individuals in leadership roles with insufficient knowledge of the level of effort to complete. -Departments are understaffed given the amount of competing priorities, causing employees to work long hours/over weekends. -HR and Managers do a poor job at communicating the important things that you would think are a priority (salary, promotions, bonus, etc..) -Leadership is not transparent with how or why certain decisions are made, causing employees to talk amongst themselves and make their own determination. -Politics result in some being put into positions based on who they know, not what they know.

Don’t believe the hype...

Pros

Fascinating industry to work in. The membership-based concept and mission has definitely disrupted the private aviation space. The 1% of genuine, good people that work at the company.

Cons

Let’s see, where should I begin here. There are just so many. -Company culture is fake, fake, fake. -Zero work/life balance. -Majority of the people working here are inexperienced “friends” of the CEO or “friend’s kids” that are handed lofty titles/salaries because the CEO owes a favor to the “friend”. -Employees are brain washed into working endless hours for the “big payoff”. -Interns and “friends” are treated like gold hence all the ‘FAKE’ 5 star reviews on here. Damage control alert: It couldn’t be any more clear that HR is asking employees to post 5-star reviews. -SVPs, EVPs & C-suite level personnel are disrespectful, arrogant silver-spoon fed snobs that will belittle/bully you on a daily basis in front of co-workers, mock and body shame you, gaslight you, etc. Defamation of character, anyone? If this sounds like your “dream job” where almost everyone is a “founding partner”, then this frat house is for you. Simply put: don’t believe the hype. Upper management does its best to create a shiny, exterior culture on the outside. The inside is about as dysfunctional and toxic as a culture you can get where the majority of current employees HATE working there and don’t get compensated nearly enough for all the daily mental abuse they have to endure. Do yourself, and career, a favor and find a company that will not only value your talents but respect you as a human being.
