Pros

The best part of this company is the structure it is built around. I know of no other company that does not have an independent estimating department that basically hands down jobs to PMs. At WT everone is afforded the opportunity to price/bid the upcoming projects they are most likely going to be on. If you get in early (right out of college) i dont think there is a better place to learn every aspect of the business as you are exepected to be involved with everything from estimating to scheduling which can be good if you are put with a good supervisor who is willing to teach you. Job security is great! Unles you do something extremely wrong you will not get fired from WT.

Cons

Pay sucks. Especially if not getting in early. WT only hires entry level Office Personel. It is rare they will hire an experienced PM or APM. So if you get in a few years after college more than likely you will not get compensated as an experienced person. Formal training is almost non-existent. Your training is as good as the person you are assigned to... he will either teach all the things you need to know or nothing at all(depends on who you get). There is alot of dead weight as a bi=product of the strict no-layoff policy.

Pros

Very large company with many opportunities for advancement. The do work all around the country, and have good benefits. Employee owned.

Cons

The company may be too big. They are very conservative when it comes to spending, and you may feel lost. There is no international work opportunities.

Pros

Some projects can be very challenging and rewarding. Health care sector has very complicated and dynamic projects which make you step up the the plate. Benefits are good if you don't need dental or vision. Pension and stock options are available after a certain number of years

Cons

Very political / popularity contest. It is all about who you know and who you work for. Company is too big at times. Especially when you are trying to get promoted. Senior management is old and stuck in the past. WT does not match a 401K, pension comes in 5 years. No dental or Vision. Only 10 vacation days. Company seems disorganized. There does not seem any definitive way to get anything completed. everything varies from group to group.
