This is a very old private company that does not have stock holders to pressure change or improvement, the turnover is around 10%+ a year at the HQ because of poor leadership based on personal old boy network relationships( not skilled or qualified), Unless you are connected to leadership , you have no oppratunity and will be part of the " Survivor Island" process of an extremely negative political environment where people are fired all the time

The company is very much of a good old boy network. It feels as though you are part of a fraternity. You can work very hard and still get treated differently if you don't engage in the fraternity environment. It is a very stuffy place to work and very much a top-down structured company that still runs the way it did when it was founded in the earlier part of the 20th century.
