      CEO Admits to Bait & Switch on Career Opportunities

      Pros

      I had a phone conversation with the CEO of the firm. I got to look into the mind of the CEO. At least I should be thankful for that opportunity. I learned how a firm wastes human potential!

      Cons

      CEO admitted to posting phony ads for the positions because he wants to keep his firm's name in the public eye. I applied for the Senior Building Plans Examiner position and was only given 16 hours of work for the whole year at a much lower position. When he was asked about advancement opportunities, he stated there were none. The CEO did not understand why hiring people with almost no work to do was unethical. This sounds like a very unethical company to me. Run away from this firm because there are no benefits to working at Willdan!

      Pros

      I have never worked for a company as bad as Wildan.

      Cons

      The job description is completely different than what you actually get to do. The job is mindless that I do not understand why they require a degree. Politics are everything here. Never dare to say anything that sounds like criticism and do not trust anyone. The work environment is so stressful because of employee gossip that you will want to run out as soon as the clock hits 5. According to my coworkers I was the fifth analyst is less than a year.

      Great entrepreneurial start up business originally then morphed into corporate mess

      Pros

      Great vision and marketing acumen by founders. Great managers in local offices propelled the company to new heights and new markets.

      Cons

      Willdan CEO big bully, WES hardly paid their bills on time making for an awkward situation for vendors, clients and WES managers. Too much focus on shareholders and personal egos of upper management structure. LOTS of favoritism in favor of inexperienced loyalty based cronies of CEO.
