Pros
You learn a lot about the NYS energy efficiency programs and are able to pick up quite a bit of skills from energy analyzing the projects, full life cycle project coordination and management as well invoicing projects, etc. Various projects to work on so nothing is the same and you can learn a bit from each project. A good place to start a career, learn as much as you can and then leave.
Cons
Chronic under staffing. They cannot keep employees and people are constantly leaving. They do not keep up by hiring people they just pile the work on the remaining people. You end up doing the jobs of 4 people. Burnout ensues due to over work and already being underpaid for 1 position but definitely for 4 positions. Also disrespected by several managers as you drown in work because you are starting to miss unrealistic deadlines for one person. all reasons above are why I am leaving after less than a year here.
