Pros

Windmill is a smart marketing firm. The job sticks to a general 9-to-5; no intense periods that require staff to stay late and grind away on something. We've kept intentionally small and hire experienced colleagues; there's really no junior staff and everyone is expected to carry their own bag. Production has always had a place in-house, so it's more than just consulting and project management -- we actually produce much of the work. Communication is completely open out of necessity and everyone has access to the entire team for project work and any internal dynamics.

Cons

Most projects are released, acknowledged, appreciated, and celebrated in a very modest and professional way before moving to the next active project in the queue. There may be missed opportunities to let the staff fully and truly decompress after a hard-earned win.

Pros

The entire team is positive and supportive. It's an amazing environment to learn and grow in your career. Management is very accommodating with any personal time you need and we can work form home on Fridays. The company is fast to try out and adopt new technologies.

Cons

It's a long commute from south of the river.

Pros

Windmill Strategy (formerly Windmill Design) has been an amazing place for my professional growth and learning first and foremost. Leadership is 100% open to change, taking baby steps towards trying new processes, offering new services, etc. You will wear multiple hats at Windmill which may not be for everyone, and the expectation is that "everyone carries their own bag" so the collective team can succeed. Everyone is encouraged to actively participate in team learning and progressing our own service offering. Overall, Windmill is an awesome place to work with great work/life balance and benefits, and a core supportive team of experts to help you learn and grow professionally.

Cons

Windmill is always evolving and changing, and the leadership team is open to hearing, discussing and improving things that aren't working. You may find a lack of specialization in one specific job role (as I mentioned we all wear multiple hats).
