Most of your co-workers and employees are really great to work with. Every workplace has their lazy people who just want to skate by. Leadership in the New York buildings are knowledgeable, supportive and understanding. However, corporate leadership is so disconnected, disengaged and plain old disinterested in everything that happens in these New York buildings. There is no support, no follow through and zero...absolutely NO follow up on what is happening here. You will find people in middle management positions who truly lack the skills to efficiently do their jobs but they are "grandfathered" into positions simply because they've been with the company for so long. No management skills or training, no education, no knowledge of their craft. Just years on the job with an organization who notices nothing. Would you trust your family to a nursing home who allows people like this to run free with no repercussions? The best thing I can say is that this company is finally being transitioned to new owners and it seems like things will improve. It will be a rude awakening to those who have taken advantage in the past but I believe this new organization will turn things around for the better. Save your applications for the new company.
