Pros

Decent wages, excellent benefits, great work environment

Cons

Training is very lacking, very much a "throw spaghetti at the wall and hope it sticks" approach. If you fall behind or do not retain the training well, there is little to no chance to catch up. Management will be friendly and supportive and encouraging you to work harder right up until they fire you over things they will actively tell you are not issues. They will also wait to fire you. In my termination zoom call I was informed that all of the reasons for my termination were for taking sick days that my direct management specifically and actively encouraged me to take for my mental health, all while assuring me that it was being done correctly when it was not. Also, being a customer support position in the financial sector, expect to deal with the worst of their client base on a daily basis.

Pros

The benefits are amazing There is home-life balance

Cons

I was hoping TransferWise would be different than my last job, but this has turned out to be just another office job that's disguised as a fun place to work. There are little to no promotion opportunities in the Tampa office. They do not punish people who are sexually offensive or who commit some kind of sexual harassment-- A simple 'I'm sorry' is enough for a long time employee here to keep his job since he's got tenure it seems he's protected. Most frustrating though is that you have to be friends with someone/dating someone in another department to get promoted otherwise you'll be stuck in customer support. They don't hire based on skill but rather social clout and how many 'side projects' you do which is up to preference and luck as to whether your 'side project' is taken seriously enough to land you a promotion. The work culture is not maturing at the same pace that the company is growing it seems.

Pros

Great Benefits. Cool people to work with. Nice office. Free lunch 2 days a week. Great room for growth into other departments (for now at least)

Cons

Leadership is full of people who epitomize "you rise to the level of your incompetence". Product team will move forward with changes without telling anyone, even compliance teams. Generally very hard to work with since they tend to be very arrogant. Large push towards outsourcing and lack of tools for CS to effectively do their job. CS tools we do have are constantly breaking (Im talking to you Twilio). Everything is now done just to reduce costs, regardless of if it works.
