Pros

Good internal mobility and the possibility of having team events. Wise is a great place to build a CV, start a career and grow in it.

Cons

The CEO is irresponsible with his taxes, management is more and more micromanaging, and compensation is neither fair nor aligned with industry. As the company grows, the number of people within the company who are willing to pull your rug from under you and/or punish you for personal grievances by stopping your career advancement is unbelievable. The company culture is extremely childish. Slack is used as a place to air grievances and complain about the freebies in the office, and while leads ask for one to keep track of their achievements, because they as leads can't do it, the recognition given is arbitrary at best and often based on favouritism rather than actual contribution. All in all, a good place to build your CV, but not a place to learn corporate behaviour.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that you haven’t had a good experience at Wise. I do hope you were able to pass on your feedback before you left. We have processes in place to make sure what we pay is fair and competitive so that we can continue to attract and keep Wisers to help work towards our mission. We use data from multiple sources to determine what the local job market we compete in for talent pays for a role to help us decide how we want to pay in comparison to that market. We then work with functional leads to set salary ranges for each role and location which help your Lead make decisions about your pay. If you're up for sharing more, we’d be keen to hear further information about your experiences. Please drop us an email to employerbrand@wise.com and I can connect you with the relevant person.

Pros

Mission-driven company: Wise genuinely believes in making money borderless, and it’s motivating to work toward a mission that actually helps people. Inclusive and diverse culture: The team is very international, and Wise puts effort into making everyone feel welcome. Autonomy and ownership: Even as a support associate, you're encouraged to make decisions and think independently rather than just follow a script. Great team support: Colleagues are helpful, approachable, and collaborative. Team leads are usually supportive and want you to grow. Remote work flexibility: Depending on your region and team, remote or hybrid options are available and respected. Tools and training: Training is thorough, and the tools used are mostly efficient. You’ll learn a lot about fintech and operations.

Cons

High workload and fast pace: The volume can be intense during peak periods, and it’s easy to burn out if boundaries aren’t respected. Shift work can be tough: Depending on your region, weekend and evening shifts may be required, which can affect work-life balance. Limited upward mobility in support roles: While there are internal growth opportunities, moving up from support to other teams (like product or operations) can be competitive and unclear. Pay could be more competitive: Compensation is decent but not industry-leading, especially considering the workload.
