Pros

Pay is good, though doesn't quite align with CoL for the area. People here are nice enough.

Cons

Mandatory 3 days in office is not great. There is no reason for us to not be fully remote. Weekend work is awful and no one likes it. Its made worse by the way it's implemented (2-3 weekend days, with a random day off in the middle of the week that almost never aligns with another day off). Definitely kills anything resembling work/life balance. Poor communication between departments, though there does appear to be strides being made towards fixing this. KPI expectations undergoing an overhaul, but requirements are still unclear. Company would do well to establish SOPs for their major workflows. This would aid in both upscaling (much easier to learn a process) and speed (allows the workflows to handled by rote, making for more efficient and consistent case handling).

Pros

Competitive brand name in the fintech industry Global exposure and presence

Cons

Minimal to no structured training - onboarding primarily relied on internal Wiki pages with little real guidance or hands-on support. Performance-based terminations during probation felt confusing and unfair, as no clear KPIs or measurable standards were provided for evaluation. Despite asking multiple times for clarity, I received no response, leaving me without direction or actionable feedback. Leadership inconsistency: The team lead acknowledged it took her 3–4 months to fully understand the role and produce narratives, yet new hires are dismissed within weeks for “performance.” The lead, based in Europe, had limited availability for the Austin team and provided little constructive feedback. Leadership also appeared very young and inexperienced, lacking the professional maturity to effectively guide and support new hires. Very little meaningful work available; many staff in similar roles appeared underutilized, suggesting misaligned hiring strategies. Over-hiring followed by abrupt cuts created instability and uncertainty across the team. Abrupt dismissals leave employees without income security despite leaving stable roles to join the company, with little consideration of the impact on individuals and families. When asked for valid reasons behind termination, the explanation was simply “performance,” with no clear evidence or breakdown provided.
