Pros

People are amazing. Really care for each other and give each other time. Very collaborative place and lots of social events to get to know each other. Love the small culture feel, similar to some old great research firms before they got too big.

Cons

Everyone works hard and plays hard, If people don't want to work and just complain, this is a tough place. If you struggle and want help and are open-minded but want to build a career, there is no place better

Pros

Working at Wolfe requires bringing your A game; if you want to work with smart, motivated, and talented individuals who believe second place means you lost, there's no better place. We work hard, but we also know how to play hard at the right time. Why wouldn't you want to work with people who constantly strive for success? We are widely regarded as having the best research on the Street, and we've continued to grow consistently as we take share in the market place.

Cons

Expectations are indeed high; if you're not the type who enjoys working at a high level with like minded people, you're probably not going to thrive. That's a liability for some, and a plus for many others.

Pros

Wolfe is a research shop. But ironically, a lot of these reviews are from people that seemingly had no idea what they were getting into? Wolfe is not for the feint of hard. Equity Research is not for the feint of heart. The people that are successful in this line of work are no shrinking violets. If you want to work for a top-ranked team and be well-prepared for the buy-side or to get a look as a senior analyst, this is a better place to be than most. If you can't learn on the job and figure out how to become a successful associate, this probably isn't the right career path for you.

Cons

I do feel bad for the assistants, who cover multiple senior analysts and inevitably have at least 1 that is a lunatic. If you are an associate who lateraled from another firm to a bad analyst without doing any checks, you have to own that a little.
