Too busy to spend money so saved a lot.

Cons

No room for growth, really toxic culture stemming from senior mgt, unrealistic deadlines and pressure on team to constantly publish, really shallow research product to contend with quotas, lies from senior mgt. on compensation. Bad track record of staff development with many bad stories of aspiring analysts who were treated poorly, benefits worse than rest of industry. Hours very very long and some teams worse than others.

Pros

Good position to get your foot into the equity research door. You will only learn as much as you can put in. The company culture is very good and the work is heavily dependent on your analyst.

Cons

Depending on your analyst your life can be boiled down to booking flights, running errands, and working on projects that are not directly giving you analytical skills. Although you can work on projects that will improve your Excel skills for example, unless you already have the prior knowledge it is hard to earn the trust to work on larger, more impactful projects.
