Pros

Made some very impressive technology before closing semiconductor business.

Cons

Overestimated demand of electric vehicle market and cost people their jobs in Durham, NC. Taxed employees severance package at maximum rate and laid many of them off suddenly right before the holidays. Over emphasis on DEI caused lots of aspects of the business to suffer. Response to COVID was shallow and stupid as the company did whatever the government told it to, at one point it tried to get employees to wear three layers of masks and even threatened unvaccinated employees with the need to pay for tests to prove they were negative after they learned that individuals with the vaccine could still get and spread Covid prompting several discrimination inquiries. Lied about holiday compensation on several occasions.

Pros

Salary and performance stock options are good.

Cons

Absolutely no work/life balance. If you have a family, I highly encourage you to look elsewhere. A small minority of the management up to the VP level actively and passively contribute to a highly toxic environment. To be fair, this is not reflective of all departments.

Pros

There are some really great people here and I feel sorry for the way they're being treated. This company pays well to attract some good talent, but a lot of really great people end up leaving when they realize what's really going on here. On the positive side, the CEO seems like a nice guy who's trying to change the company culture, but actions speak louder than words and there's still a lot of work to be done.

Cons

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked for. Operations is broken so people are expected to lie to customers and lie to employees. Don't waste valuable career time here if you're not a "yes man". They don't want anyone who's brave enough to question status quo and come up with new creative ways of doing things. It's the good ole boy network here so if you're not a middle-age white guy, then don't expect to get promoted into a position that makes decisions for the company. I've seen awful discrimination against employees because of their race, sex, religion and vaccination status. It's horrible what they get away with here.
