The company had good benefits.

Cons

I started out as a technician working on the night shift. I had an engineering degree and they wanted me to start on the floor with a long shift to work up to an office position. They told me I would switch to day shift quickly but once I started they other employees told me they had been on night shift for 5 years before switching to day. Everyone had a really bad attitude and did not enjoy their work either.

Pros

Work with really smart people on cutting edge technology. The company provides plenty of exciting challenges and you will grow your confidence and experience immensely. You wear a lot of hats.

Cons

There is not much focus on career development. Turnover can be pretty high, especially for younger workers who aren’t tied down with a family that would make it more difficult to leave the company. Company has historically run like a start up and did not run like a world class semiconductor fab. Fab is not automated, equipment is dated and sometimes not the best tool for the process. However, new leadership has been brought in within the past year at the VP and SVP roles and there are more efforts to “shape things up” to make us a world class organization.
