      Absence of fairness in HR

      Pros

      Good working hours. Flexibility about working hours while working from home during the pandemic (Mar 2020 - Apr 2022). At least in my team work completion and projects are the task not working hours.

      Cons

      HR allows some employees to work from home full-time/ relocated to cities where the company does not have an office, nor business, while it doesn't allow the same concession to other employees. Some evident discriminatory actions from HR on this matter.

      Pros

      -There are some very talented and smart employees still working there -Decent PTO but little to no bench depth so you're tethered to your laptop wherever you go

      Cons

      Leadership is full of tentative middle managers incapable of making decisions because they're either paralyzed by fear or too far removed to even understand the business they're responsible for running. Smart and experienced niche talent are leaving in droves because they're woefully undercompensated and underappreciated. Loyalty and hard work is rewarded with additional work and dwindling resources. Compensation adjustments are only provided with a title and or role change, and even then, are well below market standard. Advancement opportunities and bonus structures are frustratingly opaque while also not based on individual performance, incentivizing most rational employees to do the bare minimum.

      Pros

      Benefits are decent, and they respect work/life balance.

      Cons

      The leadership is an actual mess. Forget about promotions or raises, especially if you're a minority or a woman. They put on a fake front caring about the energy transition. They still cater their money and resources to O&G.
