Pros

Remote work and excellent pay.

Cons

Being employed at WorkCare became a nightmare. I should have run with the first red flag. When offered the position, HR commented that the supervisor "thinks she can work with you." Thinks?....thinks?...hummmm... At first, I enjoyed the position. I felt like I was fitting into my role. After about two to three months, I started to realize that my boss was a terrible communicator and extremely micromanaging to the point where I couldn't leave my desk for 30 minutes to eat lunch. I was told we "don't have time for that," My supervisor became very condescending and accusatory. For a remote job, there was no work/life balance even though it was promised at the interview. When I needed guidance, the supervisor would take over the project, instead of taking the opportunity to teach me. "I will just do it," would be the response I would receive. I began working 10 to 12 hour days (salary) to keep up with the workload and I felt I was unable to provide my best work due to the fact I was tired and overworked. When I found out that my co-worker was stealing company time (hourly employee) and reported it, I was told I was not a team player and it "didn't matter" because the employee was "getting their projects done." It seemed like upper management did not care what-so-ever about the unethical behavior. I knew at that moment it was time for me to move on. My experience was so terrible that I left without a job lined up, I have no regrets.
