      Pros

      Talented team who is enjoyable to work with. Engineering team is relatively mature for its size. WorkOS is in an exciting and competitive space, so plenty of interesting problems to solve. High ownership and autonomy across the company. Engineers are expected to be very product-oriented and have a deep understanding of users’ needs. Solid product-market fit means roadmap is relatively focused, but there are some exceptions.

      Cons

      Growing pains related to cross-team communication and clarity on product ownership as the company scales. Fortunately this is something that’s being worked through.

      Pros

      Fast-paced and dynamic.  Everyone on the team cares deeply about the developer experience and the quality of work.  Really exciting stage of the company where everything you do has a huge impact on the company.  Been rewarding to deliver a product that customers love.  Teammates are super helpful and welcoming.   Being fully remote, fully distributed means there's work/life balance and people who do interesting things outside of work.  Pay/benefits are good.  Co is 40% women atm. Able to attract top talent from the network.

      Cons

      Every startup has its stumbling blocks and growing pains.  No place is perfect.  We're challenged to constantly make things better.  Making hard decisions quickly at times might seem jarring at first, but the best for the company long term.
