Pros

Flexible schedule, lots of kool-aid to drink, very nice office building,. If you're on the right team with a hot product that has significant growth - you'll be promoted - regardless of your contribution (and the same holds true if you're on the opposite of things - mature product / slow growth product means that you'll get reorged - regardless of contribution/value)

Cons

Constant reorgs as Workiva lacks strategy and planning (it's beyond start up company type reorgs) when then leads to lack of ability to understand your role. If you try to mitigate this by taking proactive steps to define your role and add value, you will be 'encouraged' - but not supported and provided true support (rather you'll get negative feedback as you're straying from the herd) Over promise to customers (all teams, not only sales) driving the inability to deliver Lacks ability to allow you to drive career growth/development as it's foundation is more similar to a socialist environment Lacks any type of diversity for any type of minority, especially women which then translates for minimal career movement / growth for those people

Pros

- Friendly work environment - Fair compensation - Decent PTO/Parental Leave policy

Cons

- There are individuals in mid-level and senior-level management positions who have been promoted internally with little to no prior management experience. Some of these promotions have observably been the result of internal politics and not based upon the merit and capabilities of the individuals. This is not true in all cases, but enough to create noticeable problems. Although this in itself can be remedied by quality internal training and development, the lack thereof makes this the most significant "Con". This issue is most notable within the Customer Success department. - Little to no transparency into day-to-day work, which results in effectively no accountability. - No apparent action taken from 360 manager reviews. Poor managers have continued to be promoted despite significant negative feedback in performance evaluations from direct reports. - Poor cross-functional collaboration and effort

Pros

High amounts of self-esteem within senior management Camaraderie and excitement

Cons

In my opinion, the technology contained great ideas but spotty execution. This might be due to grow-from-within technology workers, often fresh out of Workiva college internships. And senior management that had been together forever. Also, there appeared to be an undercurrent of fear masked with happy-words and events, peppered with dark humor. And lots of group think.
