Pros
Because of their work across the industry with companies both religious and non, they've been able to make a true impact in countries. The financials are respectable. Having a workplace where your faith life is encouraged is fantastic. Travel opportunities are higher than other companies. They are surprisingly flexible with work/life balance which is great for parents.
Cons
If you have ever worked at a Church it is exactly like this. Behind the scenes is a mess. You have outdated practices, sexism is quite rampant across the executive leadership level, very inauthentic. The pattern is to come up with a new hot marketing initiative every year if numbers are down instead of making sure their foundational core marketing is great; many have voiced this, management was dismissive. The teams are extremely cliquey which was surprising. The turnover rate is very high especially for people who come from outside the company. Many long timers have never worked outside of World Vision before. Business practices are not strong. The loudest voice in the room gets their way. It's just rough all around.
