Good place to work...not as Great

Pros

Good people and managers that try to assist where they can. Most people at WWT are easy to work with, help and support each other. There is a big push for trust and teamwork within the environment, which is important, but this is on the decline.

Cons

Culture has been impacted by a multitude of factors; growth and the pace of change, distrust between some teams, lack of communication from leadership team on the "why" behind certain direction. There is a disconnect and lack of understanding specifically by PS leadership on these things, with inefficient systems and processes on top of it all.

Thanks. The three main points that were addressed during the recent townhalls were compensation, leadership, and subcontractor processes. Significant effort and change has been made in all three areas. We did make year-end adjustments to pay based upon salary surveys that were conducted in the Edwardsville area in 2018. Our goal is to be competitive in compensation as this helps us better attract and retain the best talent. It’s not just years of service that are considered but also the right experience, skills, values, and performance. Moving into 2019 we are continuing to work on creating job architecture to help with clarifying career paths and pay ranges. I encourage you to talk to your manager (or HR) regarding any concerns with your individual compensation. Jim and Ann are planning on follow-up meetings in Edwardsville in the coming weeks. Thank you again.
