Pros

Global company 401k match Insurance option

Cons

Most engineering work is outsourced abroad which leaves US engineers in the role of supervising, reports, and meetings without the compensation for taking on these roles. Employees in the overseas locations don’t seem to be paid fairly because there is a lot of turn over once the employee gains a little experience. It is impossible to get work done if no one stays long enough to complete a project and you constantly have to retrain new people. We have not gotten US office led jobs in years which means very little work. This in turn has led to a culture of being employed “Full Time” but very regularly getting paid less than 10 hours a week because managers will not let you charge because there is no work. Most experienced engineers and designers gained through the Jacobs acquisition have left and they are still using this as a selling point to prospective clients. Unethical practices go ignored.

Pros

There are no pros for this company

Cons

Worked in this job position for 15 years. Saved the primary company thousands of dollars in cost savings. Worley bought out my company and laid me off then tried to dispute unemployment saying I quit or was fired. I have paperwork to prove they laid me off.

Pros

People are great. Hours were flexible.

Cons

Unstable, layoff ridden. No training. No risk. Ruined by a foreign country that bought Parson E&C that does not know the US power business practices. Poor upper management. To many Project Managers and not enough workers bees. The list goes on and on.
