Pros

Leave you alone to do your job. Little to no micromanagement. If you want to take on more responsibility, just ask, they are willing to mentor and train.

Cons

When a project is over, you are gone, even if you are better qualified than another employee doing similar work on another project. Very silo oriented. Employees are viewed as a cost and not an asset which is very odd given that they are in a knowledge industry.
