Pros

- The company gives you what you need to do your job well (generally). - There is a good sense of work boundaries in what is and isn’t your job. Changes in this are communicated clearly and I have rarely been asked to do something that wasn’t my job. - The showrooms have a fun atmosphere about them and my team was great. - There are good opportunities for career progression

Cons

- There is a lot of pressure on managers and sales teams to hit (sometimes unrealistic) sales targets. There is a sense within the company that if you’re not selling it’s your fault. - The company has a pretty brutal culture. It exists to make money and that’s very clear from the outset. At one point several people lost their jobs over performance and team downsizing just a few weeks after a recruitment cycle. - There can be a tendency to bullying from management when targets aren’t being met. Pressure piles on everyone down the chain of management and things can get tough if you don’t have a nice boss - There aren’t always ways to help the customer (i.e., to do your job). For example most company phone lines are closed on weekends meaning if the customer has a query that needs the HQ you have to tell them to wait until a weekday. That doesn’t usually get a good response if they work 9-5 and can’t call during the week. The company structure can also be unhelpful in this. The installations for example are sub contracted meaning if something goes wrong it’s difficult to chase things up for the customer

Pros

Most staff are nice to work with

Cons

Head office very annoying. They watch cameras constantly (which is actually illegal) and would call up to complain if they see anything they don't like.
