Pros
I joined Wren 2 years ago from having never worked in kitchen sales previously and I can honestly say that I have never before had a job that rewards so well. My earning have been way beyond my expectation and as an added benefit I have learned so much about the industry. Its a relaxed and fun atmosphere which its great for customer engagement, all in all a fun place to work, but like anything in life it is what you make it ! I like the fact I have full autonomy over my day, my sales and my customers, there is a great energy in the business due to the pace of sales and tasks that happen daily which simply makes the day fly, where in previous jobs I've been clock watching, this never happens in Wren! Recently Wren have increased commission and made it simpler to understand and work out my earnings, this was after under-taking an employee feed-back meeting on pay and benefits which everybody agreed we need a simpler pay and commission structure.
Cons
It can be difficult to have a proper work life balance however things are improving now that there is a centralized accounts management department to take care of after sales and aspects of project management. There have been a lot of changes particularly over the last year which I have found challenging, but maybe to be expecting in a business that is growing so fast. Not enough individual one to one development with mentoring / performance management which has not helped staff retention.
