Pros

Great people in the Redmond office, fun people to be around. Awesome to have the opportunity to use the resorts at significantly discounted amounts. Roles constantly changing to accomodate economy, if you like change this is a good company right now.

Cons

Upper Management doesn't seem to relate very well to the lower rungs...major disconnect. Company is in the process of dramtically changing its product, sales process, demographics. This requires changes in staffing, layoffs, etc...this can be difficult to watch. Sense of worry and unease right now.

Pros

Pays well, including an annual bonus. Good benefits.

Cons

WVO corporate headquarters promotes a toxic and unprofessional environment. Those that come from other companies who are true professionals and try to do the right thing are kept back from advancement due to senior management's insecurity. Incompetence, lack of knowledge and lack of managerial training is immediately obvious. People spend the majority of their time pointing fingers at one another and accomplishing nothing - this is done by design so there is no accountability. There is no one to turn to - not even Human Resources because they don't have a clue and their methodologies are decades old. The people that remain are ineffective but they are there because they are really good at one thing: playing politics. Mostly, the Product Development staff is unethical, unscrupulous and not at all dedicated to the peak performance of the company. Decisions are based on favoritism. It is acceptable for the procurement team to sleep with vendors, take bribes and accept gifts that have no limits. There is no procurement protocol. All they do is travel and party, party, party - all on the company's dime. I just have three words to say to the investors: sell, sell, sell! Sooner or later WVO will come tumbling down as they don't have a strong management team to support the pillars.

Pros

Wyndham offers excellent on-the-job sales training. If you want to know how to sell something expensive to someone that doesn't need it, want it, and may not ever use it - then join up. If you can master timeshare sales, you can sell anything.

Cons

The company has instituted some very suspect pay practices. It will be hard to get health insurance because of the hourly requirement. Furthermore, Wyndham will take back commissions from blown deals as much as a year after the commission was orignally paid. This is very suspect, beware.
