Good stepping stone, but also not a long term career for many
Pros
Opportunity to move up internally if you’d like and between departments (allows a lot of people to break into roles they couldn’t as someone fresh to a company with no experience) Good exposure Tries to build community with company wide events, mental health days, etc. Progressive mindset, FTO, good work/life balance
Cons
Senior leadership seems very out of touch across departments and only cares about numbers. Middle management in general is willing to listen but unwilling to actually take actions to make changes Processes are very poor and not very clear, nor product training for other modules of the main product We seem to like to pile on new features to products rather than fix those that customers and internal users already have problems with People are stretched too thin (likely because of retention issues) and often get dumped with more responsibility than is worth their pay/job description Pay is a bit lower than industry average Tendency to bend over backwards for customers and not hold them accountable for their end of the partnership Poor communication between departments
