Pros

Joining the Xola team has been the absolute best career move that I have made. I've never before been on a team that has so much transparency in all aspects of the business. Scott makes a point to have quarterly / weekly update meetings on anything and everything being completely transparent about what's going on with the company. Culture at Xola is amazing - team lunches, team outings, movie nights, happy hours, you name it. The team is really like one big family and the whole team works really hard keeping that family spirit up. There is a ton of growth opportunity at Xola and management makes it a point to put people in positions where they will excel the best.

Cons

It's a software startup company - there are always going to be ebbs and flows you just have to get ready to roll with the punches!

Pros

Spoiler Alert: Lots of startup buzzwords to follow. I mean every one of them. Spoiler Alert #2: Working at Xola is tough to beat. I came to Xola in hopes of joining a fast-paced startup where I could quickly make meaningful contributions to the organization while developing both personally and professionally. I received exactly that, plus a lot more. There has not been a day during my employment here that I have not felt challenged (in a good way) or that I have not felt the immense positive impact on our customer's lives that our work yields. That's a pretty cool thing. Oh, also, I'm surrounded by extremely smart individuals who happen to also be very down to earth and are quite funny. What more can you ask for? Well, most of them are funny. Just kidding, everyone is funny. For the most part.

Cons

There's an addictive nature to the company. Between the awesome people you're around and the high-impact work you're doing, it can become pretty easy to put in long hours without realizing it.

Pros

Having worked in a variety of industries -- tech, snowsports, and non-profits I have a pretty broad range of companies with which to compare Xola. Without a doubt, Xola has the most talented group of people I've had the pleasure of working with, and the company culture is unbeatable. The CEO has created a company vision that is both lofty and tangible, and his enthusiasm for Xola is infectious. The team is small but diverse, with the common denominator being our intense passion for our work and pursuits. I'm happy to say that some of my most interesting thoughts and ideas emerge from conversations during our lunches and post-work outings. The product itself is very well crafted and I'm sure we'll continue to grow in adventure and activity industries.

Cons

Our office is really great, but it's an old warehouse with low I-beams. Only a problem for those over 6'6".
