Best place to work - until you realize it's not

Pros

Some of the best people on the planet work here, lots of free snacks and lunches, benefits are good, work from home is good, flexibility in a lot of ways, work-life-balance is good sometimes.

Cons

Management at Xola flushes money down the toilet. The San Fran and Houston offices each spent something like $10,000 on tables alone for the dining areas, and even more for decorations and for gifts for people getting married and having children (I'm not against this - it just isn't financially responsible to do it to this extent) and because of bad decision after bad decision, Xola had to let go whole teams of people in Houston and SF. People they could have held on to, had they made more fiscally responsible decisions.

Pros

- The interview process was laid out in clear, step by step detail. It was a simple interview process that helped frame exactly what to expect with the job, and what hardships can come with the job. Knowing not only the good parts but also the challenging parts made me feel comfortable accepting the job. I was not sold fairly tales. - Everyone is extremely supportive through the onboarding process, which in itself is amazing. I have worked for fortune 500 companies that invest a lot of time, money and energy into the training process and Xola, hands down, is the best training I have ever received. - The company is VERY transparent with all their employees in regards to where the company is heading, what it's initiatives are, what people do day to day and general business practices. I have not been with a company that is this open wit their business plans before. - The facility we work in is located in a prime spot in town so there is plenty to do and see on lunch or after work.

Cons

I have not come across any cons at this point in time.
