Pros

*Some wonderful coworkers *Catered lunches *Snacks/drinks *Unlimited time off, sometimes

Cons

*Unlimited time off (but is actively discouraged, or scoffed at) *No work/life balance *Pay *Coworkers lacking knowledge *Managers lacking drive *Lots of "yes" men and women *Upper management that actively suppresses employee advancement *Promoting those undeserving of advancement over others who have worked hard Getting down to brass tacks, the company is not as good as the reviews make it out to be. There are snacks and drinks to entice you into the office. There are dog days even. But the bottom line is the bottom line, to the detriment of the employees. Overall the pay is significantly less than similar positions elsewhere, and when confronted about this, the company gives some people a small bump to try and appease them. This has obviously failed. Since the start of the new year, there have been around a dozen management level employees who have left. Often because of issues with pay. There is significant rumblings all throughout the business, complaining about the inability to get the tools to do their jobs(laptops, monitors, access to Salesforce, Gong), pay, work/life balance. Few, if any, are happy at the company. Instead, they stay simply because of convenience. Management is filled with people that say "yes" whenever asked/told to do something, without consideration to what it will do to the product or the employees. This leads to managers who do little to no good. This has happened to the support team, the implementations team, the development team, and others.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you’re enjoying working with your fellow Xplorers. We truly believe we have some of the best people working at Xplor, and we’re proud of that! We’re sorry to hear that you’re not enjoying other parts of your experience at Xplor. We’ve already passed on your feedback about time off, as we know it’s incredibly important that everyone uses their PTO/Annual Leave to rest and recharge. And thanks for your feedback about pay. At Xplor, we believe in fair and equitable pay and benefits, and we aim to pay a competitive market rate for all roles, recognizing the location and market where the role is based. We conduct regular pay and benefits reviews, and if we fall short, we commit to fixing this as quickly as we can. Finally, because of how quickly we’ve grown, we know things don’t always work as smoothly as they should – for example, we’re still doing a lot of work bringing all our tech and tools together. We’re really open about this with our Xplorers and ask everyone to play their part in helping us get it sorted. We’re the first to say we’re not there yet. But we believe we’re building something really special, and we know it’s going to take every Xplorer getting stuck in and working together to make it happen. If you’ve got any other feedback, please also feel free to share it directly with your manager, a leader or someone in the People Team, or if you’d like to anonymously share something, you can do so via our Whistleblowing hotline (just search “whistleblowing” on Workplace). We know it’s feedback from our Xplorers that’s going to help us keep getting better, and that’s why we appreciate you taking the time to share yours – thanks again. Pros

none that I can think of

Cons

Big disconnect between reality and the picture that the senior engineering management creates for themselves. We hear about how amazing the company is and how lucky we all are, but reality is sad and things are getting worse, not better.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re not having a great experience at Xplor. Your feedback is important in helping us to make Xplor a great place to work, so please consider sharing your feedback directly with your senior Technology leader or another leader you feel comfortable talking with, so we can understand your experiences and make improvements. We’re only just getting started on our journey to build our culture at Xplor – and it’s going to take a lot of listening, reflecting and working together to do this. We know there’s still work to do, and we’re committed to listening to all feedback, so thanks again for sharing how you’re feeling.

Pros

There are some nice people there.

Cons

My whole tenure there was nightmare-ish. The specific product I worked under was very broken and no one cared. The customers were just supposed to deal with it. Also it was a revolving door, so much turn over should have been a red flag, but the org did not do much to dig in the issues at had. The teams seemed defeated, and it was definitely a environment of just “shut up and keep at work”. For anyone looking here, be sure to ask about the state of the team, and the state of the product. You might save yourself a headache.

Hi there, We appreciate that you took time to share your feedback and are glad to hear you enjoyed the people you worked with – we think we’ve got some of the best people working at Xplor! We’re sorry to hear though that there were some parts of working at Xplor you didn’t enjoy. Xplor has grown by acquisition and we’re proud of the incredible products that help our customers grow their businesses and spend more time with their clients. In recent months, we’ve taken time to get our product roadmap right, listening to customers, the industry and Xplorer feedback, so that our products meet the needs of our customers now and into the future. We need to make sure we communicate clearly about these plans, so that Xplorers working on these products know that things are being done to constantly improve, while acknowledging the challenges that exist too. Thanks for your feedback about the onboarding process. We’ve been working to improve this and are about to launch the first phase of our global onboarding process, so that every new Xplorer gets the support they need. This includes having all our resources in one simple learning path on Udemy and a buddy scheme to help get connected in Xplor quickly, along with many of the other things you’d expect for a great onboarding. Our purpose is to help people succeed, and one of our goals is for Xplor to be a great place to work. While we’re still a young company and growing fast, your feedback is incredibly helpful as we keep making Xplor a better company. We wish you the best in your career and thank you again for sharing your experience on Glassdoor. Thanks. Stefan Welack Global Talent Operations Lead
