It is what you make of it. If you have the right expectations this is a great job. I get to see me family every night and I get to wake up in my own bed. I’ve had driving gigs that took me away from home for days, weeks and even months. It was a strain on my marriage and on the relationship I have with my kids. Things are much better and easier now.

Cons

It’s a trucking job. There’s always going to be pros and cons no matter who your employer is.

I was hired a little after graduating college. It wasn’t my first pick admittedly but after giving it a few months it started to grow on me. I’m just grateful the work is steady. Job security has been my only peace of mind throughout this pandemic. Xpress Natural Gas may not have been my first pick but I’m definitely here to stay now that I’m here.

Cons

COVID shook things up but this isn’t unique to just this company.
