      Xylem has a lot of potential and some great people, but lacks vision, corporate alignment and IT infrastructure.

      Compensation is competitive for certain positions. The people are also great to work with and committed to growing the business.

      Cons

      Top management is aloof, and somewhat indifferent to the needs of mid management. The company also tends to be more focused on quarterly results than long-term.

      there is plenty of opportunity here for those who are motivated and willing to dig in; water will be a hugely important industry for the country and the planet over the next several decades

      Cons

      overly process-oriented, can be slow; difficult to navigate the organization, some resistance to change. many pine for "the good old days" vs seeing out the new frontiers

      Interesting & challenging work in a fairly diversified corporation

      Cons

      Organization had low organic growth but instead leaned on the acquisition model. This made ITT top-heavy - too many well-compensated Directors, VPs, etc. - and demoralized the rank & file as RIFs trickled through the facility reconciliation process.
