Pros

Everyone is really nice and friendly. Great community to work with and to network with.

Cons

Not-for-profit is not what I would like to with in the future. It's really slow and I don't see much growth in terms of a career. Definitely the place to work for if you prefer working for a cause.

Great Work/Life Balance, But Discourages Growth

Pros

- Fantastic work/life balance, encouraged to leave on time and not take work home - Free unlimited access to fitness facility for myself and my partner - Pay wasn't high, but better than most non-profits in the city - Strong values and good variety of programs to benefit the community

Cons

- Structure is flat, discourages growth. Lack of opportunities for movement within - Pay for roles is set, unable to negotiate salary even after working there for many years - It is a great environment for those looking for a "cushy" job, but would not recommend to driven individuals looking for growth. I often felt restricted to existing processes and was discouraged from thinking outside the box
