Pros

The benefits were really good. There was also fantastic job security.

Cons

The School of Medicine is a terrible place to work. The work climate on central campus is much more pleasant. Huge difference from one side of campus to the other.

Good place to work, great place to retire.

Pros

Great benefits, time off, and relative stability

Cons

Complacency, inept leadership, a low regard (financially) for managerial and professional staff and despite the name, there isn't anything groundbreaking being done here outside of academia and medicine. Administrative staff are certainly the bottom rung and it is felt. Most people can't/won't leave because of the golden handcuffs - amazing benefits, time off and it's likely paying for their children's college education.

Pros

A rich and vibrant culture with a history stretching back 300 years. A wide variety of career opportunities in virtually every field. Great cultural opportunities.

Cons

Slow moving, bureaucratic. Division between staff and faculty.
