The people are friendly and smart. Commitment to diversity makes working here interesting. Strong reputation. A lot of resources to take advamtage of.

Cons

Sometimes, the people you interact with aren't the most genuine and only care about getting ahead. Can be hard to find niche. Very competitive.

Incredible students; incredible libraries; fabulous health center

Cons

Cavernous gap between faculty and staff as well as between management level and unionized clerical level. The entrenched hierarchies make many things difficult, such as career growth and upward mobility on the administrative and support staff side.
