Pros

Great first job for those coming out of college

Cons

Lackluster benefits. Yardi considers 401k matching as being the company yearly bonus, while this is normally a standard benefit. No option for employees to gain stock or ownership. No yearly bonus based on company P/L.

Let’s start by correcting some misconceptions. The truth is that Yardi has never done a 401k match. Instead (and better!), we have profit sharing for ALL of our employees, so everyone benefits – not just those who contribute to their 401k program. During your 8 years in the Austin office you would have received the annual email about this. For 2017 Yardi gave 8% profit sharing for employees – which means Yardi contributed to your 401k account 8% of W2 earnings (up to ERISA maximum) - much higher than what most companies do. And we absolutely have yearly bonuses, which are based on each employee’s performance. Some of our other wonderful benefits include 100% paid health care premium for ALL employees, an FSA plan, vacation condos on the east and west coasts of the US, tuition reimbursements, and paid parental leave. We wish you luck finding new employment that meets your needs.

Good benefits, but a bit stuffy for a software company

Pros

-good 401k plan, PTO, family-centric atmosphere -very stable company -pretty good training program -occasional company/team lunch or complimentary fruit snack every couple of weeks -most employees are kind and friendly -travel and education opportunities

Cons

-people often got raises or promotions when they got engaged, married, or pregnant, which doesn't seem fair -CEO openly talked badly about millennials which is awkward since a lot of millennials work for him -there's only like 1 table to sit at during lunch at an office with over 500 employees

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for noting many of the wonderful perks at Yardi, including our great 401k and PTO. Unfortunately, your cons are just not correct. Yardi does not show favoritism and bonuses and raises are issued as deserved by hardworking employees. Our CEO has never talked poorly about millennials and is very interested in getting to know every person he crosses paths with. He is known to ask what can be improved on a regular basis. It sounds like Yardi was not the right fit for you and we wish you the best in your future.
