Pros

Inclusive Training and Onboarding: The company excels in welcoming new hires, particularly those unfamiliar with its specific tools and processes, known internally as the "Yardi world." There's a strong emphasis on making sure everyone feels comfortable and well-integrated, regardless of their initial experience level. They do offer training, however, the quality of the training is questionable. Team Dynamics and Work Environment: Work environment flexibility can vary, but many teams offer a considerable amount of autonomy, providing employees with the space to work more freely and manage their own time effectively. Employee Benefits: The benefits package offered is comprehensive and competitive, contributing significantly to job satisfaction and employee well-being. There are some people who do care for you inside of the company and do wish you the best, however it is all luck because it depends on who you get as management, and which team you are a part of.

Cons

Challenges in Performance Expectations: The targets set for performance metrics can sometimes feel ambitious, depending on the role. This might lead to a perception of unrealistic expectations for certain positions within the company. Career Development and Management Decisions: There appears to be a strong focus from upper management on immediate staffing needs, which can sometimes impact individual career growth aspirations. Employees may find their career paths influenced more by organizational requirements than personal professional goals. Although they will say it is possible for you to move around different teams and different roles. Work Environment and Management Style: The work can occasionally involve tasks that seem repetitive or unnecessary, contributing to a sense of redundancy. Additionally, the management style tends to be closely supervised, with a high emphasis on productivity that may feel overextended to some employees. Meaning it is all about Quantity and never Quality. Expectations: You can be a new hire, still in training, and management will talk about certain topics as if you are an expert on the software.

We are glad to hear that you have enjoyed your first year with Yardi as an Associate Technical Account Manager. It is wonderful to hear that you have enjoyed the comprehensive training you have received, and that you enjoy the opportunities for growth that Yarid affords! We have a flexible hybrid work model and encourage employees to work on-site a few days a week and WFH the other days. We encourage you to connect with your manager to discuss any schedule concerns you may have and how you can be best supported. Your other experiences are not in keeping with what we normally hear form other employees in our Raleigh location. At Yardi, our culture is based on kindness, support, and respect and we encourage you to connect with our VP of HR to discuss any concerns.

Pros

Mostly remote work, paid healthcare benefits, good experience in the tech field, yearly sales conference

Cons

Salary is low compared to similar tech jobs, commission percentage is extremely low so it is hard to actually make a nice commission check. Unless you have been at the company for 10+ years, then you will have large clients and make large sales. Unrealistic sales goals making it impossible to get to tiers. They change the territories often so you are essentially starting over and erasing all of your hard work when the territory changes. Profit sharing does not go into effect for 2+ years. Managers and higher ups are knowledgable, but way too busy to be able to actually spend time to help you or make changes. Sales managers should not have more clients that AEs - they need more time to manage their team and let the AEs have the clients. Your fate for the next year is determined before you even have your yearly review, so you do not have any say. They do not offer yearly raises (even for cost of living).

We appreciate you taking the time to share about your experience in our Dallas location! It is wonderful to hear that you enjoy our comprehensive benefits (that include 100% employer paid premiums), the opportunities that come with our conferences, as well as our flexible hybrid work model. At Yardi we value our employees and one way of showing this is though our market competitive salaries and commissions. We are fortunate to have incredible Sales professionals, many of whom stay with Yardi long term as they advance in their careers, and we often see healthy salary increases as employees grow in their roles. When it comes to Sales territories, we know the value that comes with stability and strong business relationships, and careful consideration is put into any territory shifts that occur so we can continue to best meet business and customer needs. Our leaders know the importance of supporting their teams though any changes so our employees can continue to be confident and fully equipped in their roles. We genuinely encourage anyone with concerns to connect with leadership or with Human Resources to discuss.
